I’m Rey aka Selkie, a Hollywood-based rope artist, educator, and yoga instructor specializing in the intricate, beautiful, and deeply expressive art of shibari.

Based in Los Angeles, CA, you’ll find me performing throughout the city -from galleries and decadent soirées to private parties, underground events, and intimate dungeon spaces. I also share my craft through educational sessions, collaborating with local stores and teaching private lessons from my home studio!

Whether tying myself in performance or creating an experience for those who step forward to offer tribute, my work blends artistry, ritual, and connection through rope.

Futomomo Workshop

21+ Event

This beginner-friendly workshop is open to everyone, and no prior experience is required to join.

In this class, we will explore single and double column techniques and see how they come together to create a complete tie known as Futomomo.

Futomomo, which translates to “thigh binding,” is a beautiful and versatile tie that involves folding the leg and securing it to the thigh using a combination of single and double columns.
